I was a few years out from being able to buy one of these-- never saw one until I was 14 at a flea market buying old comic books-- guy had one behind the table and I had no idea what it was. He showed it to me and I asked if it was for sale.

"yeah, gimme a buck for it."

It was dead mint condition too- I got the dollar out so fast I'm sure he figured he underpriced it, but this was probably 1980 so at that time it wasn't that old.

Love the thing to death. If I had to buy another one I'd gladly pay $500 if it was mint and have no regrets at all.
I'm with you. I think Anthony Durso makes a replica box for it. I remember seeing it as a kid ( first run Batman kid here) along with the other Batmania items and thought "Wow that's cool". What was it then, about $4.99.

Thanks Lou!!
It looks like I snuck into your house to take photos!! :)

Yep, we have come full circle and are distancing ourselves from Etsy and creating a freestanding shop/site.
They have gone the way of eBay with fees and fluid rule changes that always seems to allow them to hold your money longer before they wire it to your account.
We will still use Etsy for International sales because they are set up for that but for the most part we will be a stand alone and more engaged with advertising in social media.

Fun times ahead!! :)

Bravo on your stand alone store.

Now Dan needs the Silver Age Cowl to go with his love for the Filmation Batman!

Brilliant work as always.
Are you kicking around a Frank Miller cowl?

Wow! I look at that royal blue leather cowl and imagine just how much cooler that would have looked on Adam back during production. I wonder if the leather would have muffled other voices more than the fabric cowl, making it a bit harder to follow dialogue?

That’s your story and you’re sticking to it, right? (So you’re making plenty of time for wearing cowls.)

Even without the cowl sometimes. Like the adults in the Charlie Brown specials. LOL
