On Facebook: Kid room makeovers are the perfect surprise gift. This sweet four year old outgrew his nursery decor and was ready for a big boy room that inspires creative play. Complete with custom artwork by Ed Pribyl American Folk Art at the entrance.

For some reason, they claim its available at Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids, but I can't find it. The bedspread is available at PBK

I have that bed in my son's room! It's true, it was a limited time item from Pottery Barn.

It cost a pretty penny, but the bed is solid and very, very well made. This thing is a tank. Fortunately, the delivery men carried the parts upstairs and constructed it.

I can't fathom why they made the stripes and door logos grey. it's not as if the finished product is subtle. I applied red vinyl to cover it which worked well for a couple years. Now, as some areas begin to peel a little, I want to just paint them red and seal them. I have created some bat hubs that will fit neatly in the wheels, but I've never gotten around to 3D printing them! Maybe I'll do it this week...

Here are some images from the week it arrived.

Even bigger and dare I say better?! But then again, any Batmobile bed is a GOOD Batmobile bed all things considered.
