Ben Cooper Mego Batman - finally

Post by Lou Szabo »

Not quite Anthony Durso's version, but closer to the Ben Cooper Costume

He only made a couple. Found this on Facebook and ordered it. Shipping notification already. I may put it in my Anthony Durso Ben Cooper Batman Costume Mego custom box.
I asked him to make a Ben Cooper Spider-Man also.

I wonder what the face looks like under the mask.

I don't know who he is behind that mask of his, but I do know when we need him...

I had the 2nd iteration of this costume. Picked it up at W.T. Grant's store in Union Lake, Michigan back in '71. Fond memories of the costume with the cloth cowl/ears and the domino mask that came with it. Wish it would have had the original mask which was super-cool looking but, whatever... Very tempted to buy this figure (and I would find place for it as I understand it isn't that big to begin with).

On a side note, I read in Retro Magazine a while back that a book was supposed to be published about either Ben Cooper Costumes or Collegeville Costumes with the company history and full color pictures of all the costumes. Has anyone heard anything else about that?

Just received mine. Even cooler in person, hoping he does other BC super hero costumes (especially Spidey & Doc Doom)...

SVI - I have a standing order for Spidey.
Probably look something like this: http://megomuseum.com/community/showthr ... an-Costume!

The best interpretation is and will always be by Frank "To the Batpoles"

Tony Durso also made a one off of both Batman and Spidey using the Mego heads with the BC sticker on the mask, and a custom BC box.

Why does that Spidey look like Charlie Brown to me? :)
