guess the bat toy mistake
I would have done the same thing to this toy, on purpose ..but everybody here knows the mistake..
one hint...the keep off sign ..answer below picture
this sign was not in the series or in the film..it was used a grand total of one time..in the pilot..but never seen again

Hmm. Painted like the pilot one but placed where it stayed afterwards with the different paint job? I don't see that as mistake, myself. In the scope of cave-set items in this playset, it's pretty darn close.

Sign looks OK, maybe make the poles teal instead of yellow?

Yep, like Scott said that's the Pilot version of the sign in the positioning that it remained for the rest of the series and movie.
I painted my rails' teal, and honestly, it makes the world of difference. I love it! Still feels like a toy, but that color just screams TV Batcave to me.

Planned to do the same, and it’s great to see how it turns out! Really makes a difference. Also saw that you painted the ladder silver and made signage changes/additions, as in the show.

Re: guess the bat toy mistake
Another easy fix: The two Batpoles in the McFarlane Batcave playset are identical sizes. (Strangely enough, the same error is in the MezcoToyz playset.) In the show, Dick’s Batpole is noticeably thinner than Bruce’s Batpole. So I taped together two paper drinking straws, removed the base, and slid it over Bruce’s one, then painted both poles gold.
