JazzInc Batcycle with Hot Toys figures photos plus more! Chuck Williams has a better sculpt than Hot Toys!
Here are prototype photos of the JazzInc Batcycle with Hot Toys figures.
Joost Assink answered my question if they will make 1966 Batman seated figures which in my opinion will sit better and straighter than the Hot Toys but he said no as he didn't think enough people would buy them. I disagree because anyone who buys their 1966 & 1968 Batmobiles, Batcycle, an upcoming vehicles like the Batboat and Batcopter will need and want figures. Plus the Hot Toys and bootleg Saturn figures don't quite look like Adam. I saw Chuck Williams 1/6 sculpt and that looked a lot better than Hot Toys. I think Joost underestimates that avid 1966 fans would buy their 1966 figures.

To be clear I meant Chuck Williams Adam sculpt is better than Hot Toys sculpt.

I agree Chuck's sculpt is infinitely better than HT-- I've never loved the Hot Toys sculpts or facial paint.
I'm with HT though, I think the vehicles themselves are niche items-- not every one who bought a figure will want the vehicles (I don't) so the % of buyers drops down, and to go to the expense of tooling seated figures would probably be a losing money proposition. But hey, maybe I'm totally wrong.

I agree. I've found that a good number of 1/6 scale figure collectors are not so into accessories. They just love the figures, and its certainly more budget-friendly than 1/6 scale vehicles.

I'm with you on this. Honestly, if Saturn hadn't gone ahead with their unlicensed option last year at such a reasonable price-point given the escalated resale market on the original Hot-Toys release, maybe Joost's hypothetical option might have had more of an audience for the initial batch. But this really feels like a "closing-the-stable-door-after-the-horse-has-bolted-scenario" given that JazzInc has only so recently scratched the surface of even thinking about offering 1/6th figures. I understand that their business has grown exponentially in the last 36mths, but not having a set of figures available to go with their Batmobile was the boat they missed - regardless of why they missed it.AndyFish wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2024 7:54 am I agree Chuck's sculpt is infinitely better than HT-- I've never loved the Hot Toys sculpts or facial paint.

has jazzinc said they're going to do a batcopter? at 1/6 scale that would be five feet long!

Maybe even a little over. I think that Bell helicopter is somewhere north of 32 feet long. You would almost need a 1/6 scale airport hanger to keep it outside. Ha ha

Personally, I’d purchase a set ONLY if they have the quality Chuck Williams head scuplts to BOTH figures! Also, I wouldn’t even care if they were painted figs, in lieu of bad clothing! I also think Joost is WAY wrong in thinking that there wouldn’t be enough interest! If we were willing to pay BIG $$ for his nice vehicles….many of us (IMHO) would also be willing to compliment that with equally nice figures. BRING THEM ON!

$175 for seated Keaton, for reference.

I agree, I had thought about that too! Perhaps he feels Chuck wants too much to License his Sculpts, and this is a bargaining chip to say that not enough would sell? If he went in enough $$ for the Batwing fig….or the Batcycle (IMHO), then the figs to me are a no brainer!

I wonder if anyone considers the reality of higher end collecting and cost, and whether or not its realistic to think some fans (of a shrinking fanbase who are not all toy / replica collectors) would triple-dip into another release of 1/6 scale '66 Batman and Robin figures, sitting position or fully articulated?
First, we had Hot Toys, and for any who did not get those figures, the Saturn Toys box set filled that need, and from my 1:6 scale collecting friends who were interested, it sold quite well, so who would want to pay high prices--once again--for more 1966 Batman and Robin action figures?

I think if JazzInc makes the 1/6 Batgirl with Yvonne Craig's likeness and her 1/6 motorcycle as a set, that would sell well.
Certain beloved characters that have never been made before in high quality licensed 1/6 scale will always have enough buyers to make it worthwhile.
JazzInc is also working on a Lynda Carter Wonder Woman likeness rights.
Another fan wrote, and maybe Scott Sebring can confirm this, he wrote the problem is not that Warner Brothers is not approaching the Yvonne Craig estate to renew the likeness, he said it's that they're asking a high royalty of $100,000 for another different Batgirl product. The fan, I think his name was takashi, seemed to have a lot of inside information.

Ok, here’s where Chuck should step in, and do them himself! He could render a seated Batman with both hands on the wheel, as well as Robin, with one or both hands grasping the windscreen frame…as is often seen on the TV series. He could opt for a more expensive painted version….or leave it to the modelers? Of course it would be best to have at least the faces painted….but no send to China please! Chuck could do this….and do it quite well!
