Mars Toys Alfred and others
Mars Toys just posted:
MAT017 Riddler will be released this month. “
It will be accompanied by a limited stock of 1966 Alfred (no pre-order required)
Penguin will be released at the perfect time. Please be patient. 66line continues to produce. I once said that all of them both made, and the progress was 60%. Now the progress is 100% completed. — feeling fantastic.”

Re: Mars Toys Alfred and others
Have the Riddler and Penguin still not come out?? Wow.
I didn't think either one looked as good as The Joker so I passed, but I thought they were released a long time ago.
Alfred sculpt looks good-- probably a pass for me, don't really want or need an Alfie figure but it looks nice so far.
Probably be out in perfect time? Does that translate to 2036?

It's been a long wait for these, they won't answer requests about timelines or progress, but there has been a bunch of chatter from upset collectors, glad to see they are finally making progress.
Re: Mars Toys Alfred and others
Pretty good sculpt. Alfred looks properly befuddled.

Re: Mars Toys Alfred and others
My pre-order on Riddler got refunded, so I had presumed that Riddler was dead in the water... now to see if I can get back on the list!
Re: Mars Toys Alfred and others
I had heard that DC/Warners had put the nix on the line-- and that's why The Penguin wasn't released. It's difficult to enforce copyright laws internationally, but the company can put pressure on retailers who carry their other products. You can only get by with "Prank Villain" for so long before someone notices it.
I could be wrong and maybe they do have a license, but there's nothing on The Joker Box-- and the fact that they couldn't even call him JOKER says a lot.
We'll see if they're going forward, but I would only pre-order with retailers you've dealt with in the past in case you need to get a refund.

Warner Bros attorneys puts pressure on customs to stop delivery of Bootleg Batman items. I'm sure like you said they put pressure on retailers too. Warner Brothers is very protective of their Batman trademark and they have the money to enforce it.
The Mars "Joker" was indeed unlicensed. But to their credit was very well done. And at the time no one else wanted to do one.
The good news is it gives JazzInc Dioramas more freedom to pursue other 1966 characters because they have the 1966 Batman license without worrying about bootlegs undermining them.
Warner Bros promotes JazzInc by showcasing their giant Batmobiles at company expos. WB even gave them a special Batmobile worldwide license.
On another note there's a reliable source rumor that Hot Toys did sculpt a Yvonne Craig Batgirl prototype but changed their mind about selling it because their Batman and Robin sold slowly.
I'm hoping JazzInc sorts out the rights and makes their own 1/6 Yvonne Craig Batgirl.
Re: Mars Toys Alfred and others
So many of these Asian Companies have multiple names-- this is often a way of getting around cease and desist orders. It's also telling when Entertainment Earth or Big Bad Toy Store doesn't carry a line. I'd be curious what JazzInc's price point would be for a 1/6 figure.
And I agree 1000%-- The Prank Villain figure is superb-- it beats Hot Toys Batman and Robin IMO.

Re: Mars Toys Alfred and others
Keep me posted on this Lou, as I need to place another order after my initial pre got cancelled, but I’m hesitant until I see these shipping.
