Ralph's collection is going up on Heritage auctions
Hi All,
Maybe I'm late to the show but Eric Seltzer gave me a heads up that Ralph is selling his collection and the cowl we made for him which is the last cowl Adam wore on film is going up for grabs!
I think he had EVERYTHING ever made!!!

Re: Ralph's collection is going up on Heritage auctions
It's always a bit melancholy when a collector like Ralph decides to part with his collection. It's inevitable, and in many ways reminds us that this thrill of the hunt acquisitional trait we all share has an expiration date. Wow, sorry to be a downer. I knew about the auctions, and when I saw the Chuck Cowl with the provenance of Adam having worn it I knew it was Ralph's. I'll be bidding on that one, so good luck to any an all involved.
I hope Ralph is selling because he just felt it was time, and not for some more serious reason.

Agreed.
He is also selling his Hardeman replica belt we made in a limited edition as part of a multiple piece lot...

I just saw this auction on Heritage, but must have missed the posting about it on our board, maybe because it came over the holiday weekend. There's some amazing items for sure. I feel I've heard of Ralph, but not sure who he is. Is/was he a member on this board?

Re: Ralph's collection is going up on Heritage auctions
Thankfully, nothing sinister, rather a personal decision formed in a culmination of a few different reasons:
Ralph has talked fairly frankly about getting rid of the collection. Having acquired the vast majority of the treasure hunt items he had dreamed of (and then some!), with the thrill of the chase gone, he said that he felt a real shift in his feelings towards it when (his good-friend) Adam West, passed away. Obviously in no way a "knee-jerk" but now eight years on, he felt it was time to let someone else enjoy the same things that had brought him such happiness over the years. He is keeping some very specific items, (including some personalized stuff), however, 95% of his collection is going to be sold across a few different themed Heritage Auctions - some of his Screen-Used props from the show have already been sold prior to this thread in a previous H.A.

Well that's the best possible answer. I completely understand his feelings.

Dunno if he's still active on the board, but you've probably heard of Ralph Garman, who used to do the "Showbiz Beat" on the Kevin & Bean morning show and does occasional podcasts with Kevin Smith. He also spearheaded the campaign to get Adam his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He and his collection were featured on one of the extras from the Batman '66 DVD & Blu-Ray (filmed before he divorced his first wife and had to sell the house where the secret room was).Jim K, Bat fan wrote: ↑Tue Jul 08, 2025 6:21 pm I just saw this auction on Heritage, but must have missed the posting about it on our board, maybe because it came over the holiday weekend. I was shocked when I heard Ralph was selling most of his collection and his cowl!!!!!
I did manage to buy one thing from his collection so that is cool.

I am really surprised by how little the cowl went for.
What a great collection!
