Custom Lego Batcave - Not the licensed version. New photos 6/24!

Post by Brave & the Bold »

Hi folks.

I have been tinkering with a custom Lego Batcave! I think I almost have it.

This cave features:

Custom '66 Batmobile
Full size Atomic Pile
Rotating Batmobile turntable
Subsubterranian Grotto Exit w/custom gem studded cave walls (my son did this one!)
Batpoles - Not installed
Alfred's elevator
Accurate computer decals

Approximate brick count: 5000

So far, I have almost two years into this project. I will post more photos later.

Any thoughts fellow Bat-Fans? Constructive criticism is welcome!

I can't wait to see more from this build.

There's always going to be charm for me in the custom/fan made stuff. It's so easy to forget that only a few years ago, we didn't have the plethora of official merchandise we have today.

Looks great!!

Will you be incorporating any of the "official" Lego set pieces into your custom one?

Thanks guys! I will snap more photos soon.

I don't plan on using any official Batcave pieces except maybe the Batpoles. 8-)

I look forward to seeing more pictures of your amazing build.I want to pick your brain about your Batmobile turntable and I'd like to see if you made a Batcomputer for your Batcave and how you made it.I'm going to combine the lego Batcave set with some mods of my own plus some of your items. Thanks for a great build and we all look forward to more pictures.

There are still quite a few tweeks I need to make but I think I'm on the right track.

Edited to change duplicate photo.

I removed the bricks in front of the atomic pile to give you a better view of the model.

I removed Alfred's elevator today in favor of building Bruce's office upstairs. Should be fun!

Getting the wallpaper right has been a challenge. At this rate, I'll be done with Bruce's office in about a year.
