I finished my utility belt today. I'm pretty happy how it came out. My pouches and tubes open up. Next project to make my gloves. Also attached a ponytail holder I made for my wife. Said she needed something too.

Very nice belt! Was the buckle engraving difficult to do? I haven't attempted that yet. And that ponytail holder is a great idea, I will have to make one for my wife. Thanks for sharing.

The buckle is patience ... Have a good template and take your time. Nice down strokes are way I used the engraving bit. I tested it on a different piece on brass for my first attempt. I used a freestanding magnifying glass to help me. Several great threads here to help as well as the ons on the bat-archives.
Good luck, this board has been a tremendous source of information and support.

Looks real good. I'm on the verge of attempting to engrave one myself. I hope it turns out as good as yours.
