Utility Belt Buckle Bat
Hey Guys,
Just used the new computer cut brass stencil made from the rubbing I took from the Hardeman buckle.
To say I'm happy is a gross under statement!!!
I'm proud to say that there isn't really much difference between this and my last stencil.
Just a nuanced difference here and there but I can finally put this aspect of the costume to rest.
In the comparison below, mine is the top image and the Hardeman Buckle is below...
This was cropped from a photo of my buckle on top of a photocopy of the original buckle so there may be some distortion or slight difference in scale.
The thing that always made this tough to replicate from photos is the curve. It was bent by hand and is not even at all. That made allowing for the curve difficult in creating the stencil from photos.
FINALLY... moving on....
Chuck...

Remember to pay attention to the Craft Section Rules in the big red bold print above. This isn't the place to discuss any "product" or ask about buying, selling or pitching. Thanks.bj180sx wrote:looks good. Will you be selling these in the future?

What thickness of brass do most people use for the buckles?

Wow! I never really looked closely at the image on the buckle and am surprised how hand drawn and unbalanced it looks. Chuck has done a great job of re creating it so closely as he does with all his work.
