Chief O'Hara costume
I've created a pretty close Chief O'Hara costume. The jacket is a vintage jacket from the 1960's, as is the hat badge. The hat was purchased from Siegel's uniforms. The badge was from Badge and Wallet, and is as close to the original as they were willing to do. (The main difference is the blue background surrounding the word "Chief", and the absence of four small decorative stars under "Chief". The pants were made by Horace Small Uniforms, the same company that originally made the jacket years ago. The wrist braid was obtained from Quartermaster.com, as were the replacement gold buttons.
You may ask why I did this? I don't really know... Somedays, you just can't get rid of the urge to cotume!

That looks amazing, the badge is pretty darn close

Re: Chief O'Hara costume
Thanks, guys! My one question is the sleeves, though. These rank braids are placed five inches from the end of the sleeve, as was the "official" guideline on uniform sites. There is one photo where O'Hara has the braids placed correctly, as is also on the Azarian costume, but in most episodes, they are placed too close to the sleeve, and with the buttons also being incorrectly placed about an inch apart. Any thoughts on this?

BTW, I love how the Chief's hat badge is completly out of whack on that last picture.

Oops. My error. It's supposed to be three inches, and Repp has it correct. I'll have to move my braids!
