Figures Inc Joker costume...

Post by wally wingert »

Just got him back from the seamstress. His costume is now the correct color. I just need to find matching paint to paint his hands. But I'm very happy with the results! Now THAT looks right!

I got some nice fuschia acrylic paint and finished his hands. He is now complete and looking good.

Fantastic upgrade, Wally. A simple change that makes all the difference- would have been easy for FTC to get it right, can't understand why they didn't.

Wow that's definitely a huge upgrade to the overall read of this figure. Mine just doesn't look right now when I compare it your photos.

My FTC Joker is looking kind of lousy alongside the Mattel, Croce, and Funko figures.

Wally's suit is fantastic...in fact, it's almost necessary.

I read here about people who have made custom capes and outfits for the Hot Toys figures...is there anyone making corrected suits for this one??

Yes, my seamstress Karyn can do them and still has some of the fabric left. However they're VERY expensive, given the amount of work she has to put into making one costume, and not for the small walleted.

Unlike the factories in China, she's not equipped to make thousands of copies of doll clothes in an assembly line process. The pants, vest and suit jacket take her about 6 hours each!

But if you're not swayed by that, I'll pass along her info to you in a PM. Thanks!

Pardon me...I meant to say it takes her six hours to construct each SET of clothes, not each clothing item. Sorry.
