Cape tips required

Post by Prince Adam »

After the first Bat outing today, I noticed that my cape frequently kept sliding over my shoulders.
Does anybody have any tips for modifications to make the cape sit permanently? I seem to recall poppers were used on Adam W's suit, but I was thinking some Velcro could do the trick?

Any thoughts?

Adam

A video of Scott explaining the placement of snaps between the suit and cape. Hope this help:).

This video was extremely helpful in keeping the cape in place! ;-)

Yep, the original costumes used snaps (poppers) to keep the capes in place.

You do not want to use velcro around your knit tights or you run the risk of damage to the fabric by the hook side of the velcro.

Hi folks,

Thanks for the headsup on the snaps.

These are the snaps that I am looking at using. Are they correct, as I wasn't able to tell from Scott's video as my computer screen is terrible.

I'm rather nervouse about performing this mod, so I would appreciate any input.

Cheers
Adam

Hey Adam,

You want to use the sew on variety of snap in black.
The type that are probably used on your cowl closure.

Those pictured are much too heavy.

Thanks Chuck. Glad I asked rather than dive in.

This is the kind of snaps you want. Commonly referred to as whopper poppers here in the US.
