What is the size of the chest emblem on Batmans suit?

Re: Chest logo
I have a color printer at home. Does anyone know of a card-stock one-sided PVC sticker type? It would be great if we all could just color print our chest emblems at home, cut them out carefully and have the authentic chest emblem. Is this a viable option? Anyone know of any other options since the Williams seem not to be offering the emblem outside of the complete bat-suit at the moment? I don't really want to go with the Action Costumes iron-on solution.
Re: Chest logo
Never used this but came across during i'net search for you:
http://www.amazon.com/Silhouette-CARDST ... +cardstock
Perhaps this or something else similar is out there.

Re: Chest logo
I used to take mine to a local printer that had a color copier. He would print me a dozen or so on glossy card stock and the colors came out pretty well. And the level of gloss was just about perfect for my purposes.
Then I would buy double-sided carpet tape at the hardware store and adhere it to the back of the logos. Trim the logos carefully with sharp scissors and voila...you have adhesive backed chest stickers.
Any sticker stock you get from a printer isn't going to stick to the fabric of the leotard very well. It's not really made for sticking to fabric. But carpet tape is much more durable and really gets a good grip on it.
For a time there I was cutting my own ovals out of heavy posterboard, painting them with the same paint I used to paint the utility belt (so it would match) and cutting the bat out of black matte contact paper. Using a template I would attach the bat to the oval when the paint was well dry, and it gave the chest emblems a smooth, even, clean look. Ahhhh those were the days.

Thanks Batfanman. Thanks Wally. Wally you're famous. I saw you on the Florence Henderson Show. . You're also the guy that gave Chuck Williams access to a fabric sample from the original show. Thanks a lot.

It's a trademark issue so we don't sell the emblems anymore.

Re: Chest logo
Ok. bats looks great.
my ovals are a little hacky, they ok from a distance but.....you know.
I have tried scissors, and exato. I have cut it both with and without the tape applied to back already.
any tips fellows?

Re: Chest logo
I did a test also. I put the 2 1/2" tape on the paper print-out first and it is difficult cutting through the carpet tape. Sharp scissors are a must indeed. I found myself cleaning them w/ alcohol & a putty knife as I went along. Outcome was smooth on some edges but raggy on others as I turned against the grain on the shorter piece of tape at the top of the oval.

They were not as precise as you might think.
I'm sure they will be fine!

Re: Chest logo
For cutting through tape, I've found the best tool is teflon-coated non-stick scissors.
