My Boy Wonder's stunt suit
Hello citizens-
We recently got a cape and mask for my sidekick, but really cant have him playing everyday in it so-
I opened the sewing machine my wife got me for xmas 5 years ago last week and took a stab at Williams Studios Robin patterns.
My sidekick is slightly smaller than Mr. Ward was, so I bought a cutting board and tried to size it down to 6t.
The directions may as well been in Klingon( to me), but I looked at the pics, looked at the cape I have from the incomparable Lynne Williams, and went to work.
Cape was first, then "R", then the vest
I ended up cutting up a dress shirt that was too big for him and used that ( backwards) to base the tunic.
Colors are a lil off, but I think Ok for first try at sewing.
I wanted to say thanks to Lynne and Williams studios for the inspiration, and patterns.
That is a Lynne mask.
I am also thinking of doing a whole suit in vinyl for a more "leathery" look.
Let me know what you think!

Re: My Boy Wonder's stunt suit: Update
I finished the belt Friday- referencing the Williams patterns and pics of the Hardeman collection belt I used vinyl, wood, paint, screws stitching-
they love it.
I also got some gloves online that I am not that Vild about- I may trim the ends straight and open the up and I would like to darken them a bit, any thoughts?

That looks so cool! Meltonian makes a dark green spray paint that will go on faux leather and here's a link to one place that has it but you can search for other options:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Meltonian-Nu-Li ... 1390762902
Hopefully this stuff will work without cracking but don't be surprised if there's some because of how much flexing that will happen with the fingers.

I have to agree with Chuck here, I would have killed for something like this when I was a kid also, Although, I did have the Ben Cooper costume. No idea after all these years what happened to it.
