Now I get it. The figures are inside the structure. That's going to look great.

Painted the city silhouette black today. Will wet sand and re-paint. It's getting there...

This is coming along nicely, Jeremy! Always dug that very simple yet effective color scheme that was used in the end credits.

This is looking great! I wish I could just display my toys, I'd love something like this.
I'm on Instagram as kustomjeff if you want to see more toy pics and some motorcycle stuff too.

Shot the first coat of blue for the background. Will wet-sand and re-shoot.

Really creative design and lots of fun to follow the progress. Can't wait to see the finished piece!

Re: Hot Toys Batman & Robin Display on a Budget
Did a little more work this weekend. Primed & painted the Bat Signal white/black portions.
Both pieces are separate & 1/4" thick each. I want to give it a bit of a 3D effect.

Look really cool. Have you thought about illuminating the Bat-signal? Perhaps shaping/finding a frosted piece of white plastic into a circle and put a light behind it.

That's actually a brilliant idea!Batfanman wrote:Look really cool. Have you thought about illuminating the Bat-signal? Perhaps shaping/finding a frosted piece of white plastic into a circle and put a light behind it.
I am a little farther along (I haven't posted pics yet), so that bat signal is already attached to the background.
However, I did make the background removable from the rest of the display. So I could re-create it using your suggestion.
