Slight update... placed the bat signal against the blue background to see how it would look.

I took the picture at that particular angle to show the 3D effect I'm trying to achieve by layering all the pieces.

Hey guys, been awhile since my last update.
Finally finished assembling the display.
Gonna work on trying to light it up.
It's kinda dark in my office where I'm going to be displaying it, so it's going to need some kind of lighting.
Will post pics when I get it lit.

I LOVE the display, but I'm not too keen on the acrylic boxes. It could just be the way they film though. Great work!!

Thanks guys!

KustomJeff, I hear you. They actually look better in person.

This project was centered around a "budget build". Now I may have cheated a bit since I have access to and can program the CNC at work, to create the parts and pieces I needed. ;)
I bought those acrylic display cases, at my local crafts store, for $2.99 each on clearance.
I also have a few bucks in rattle can primer and paint.

Now that it's "finished", I may tweak the way Batman and Robin are displayed (by removing them out of those acrylic boxes, yet keeping them dust free).
I also want to add some lighting.
So the budget may have gone up just a bit :D

This was a really fun build!

You did a great job on this for sure, the idea I had was to add a "top to the case from some acrylic or plexiglass to let light in and maybe go with one piece of lexan or something a little more optically clear for the front. Make the top easy to remove and you can play with different poses when you feel they need a change. I used to have access to a similar CNC machine years ago and we made some fun stuff with it. I can't wait to see the final result.
