Chuck, I'm looking to mix up some colors for the up coming mobius robin kit. The greens of his suit very in darkness. Can you rank the shades of his sleeves, gloves, shorts and shoes for me? Darkest to lightest?
Thanks,
Randy
Thanks,
Randy

From darkest to lightest imo,
Gloves
Boots
Trunks
T-shirt
Boots and trunks are pretty close and depending on the dye job fading on the trunks or the paint job on the boots, they may go back and forth.
The bottom photo outside the sound stage is a good representation of the colors on my monitor.
Just noticed Burt isn't wearing his belt!

Chuck,
Do you think that if they could have, would they have made everything the same shade of green?

I think the T-shirt and trunks are the same color but the textures and fiber content make then read differently.
Without a huge custom order, you are at the mercy of the leather supplier for your color choices.
The olive/avocado glove color was pretty popular back in the day and the original green suede of the boots could be seen everywhere.
I believe they painted the boots when they started getting too worn.
If it was no extra work then they may have gone with one shade of green but on so many different surfaces it would be hard to get them all to read the same, all the time.

Re: Help Chuck Williams
Nope. The hero boots to my knowledge didn't have the laces.
The stunt boots did and had a flap over the laces which you can see periodically.
The Hardeman boots have a zipper and one lace.
This pair looks to have been a hero pair with the snaps in the back that were adapted to laces at some point.
Burt very well could have used them for shots where he wasn't seen full length or needed the Hero boot.
The added leather on the fin suggest it wasn't intended to be seen on camera. Read "stunt"

Chuck; thanks very much for posting those ALOT of folks are waiting for the Moebius Robin (myself included). I spoke to Frank at Moebius last week and the boxes and instruction sheets are ready to go and Warner has granted final approval for release. Test shots are being assembled (AND painted; Chuck, if you don't mind I will forward these pics to Dave Fisher to guide him ). We SHOULD be seeing kits in January (fingers crossed).

Hey Tom,
Sounds great!
I worked with Dave on the Tweeterhead piece so he is well versed in vintage Robin.

D'OHH! I forgot that you were helping the folks at Tweeterhead. BTW, I am FINALLY getting down to wrapping up my own project for the Moebius Batman figure, so I will DEFINITELY be sending some pics for your perusal.
Thanks Chuck!

What color green should I use to dye the t shirts and trunks?
I purchased Kelly green Rit dye, I thought I'd ask first.

You want a darker, more forest green for the T-shirt and trunks.
