NewBelt!

Post by Jimmy L. 66 »

Merry Christmas Citizens!
My best friend in the world, and arguably a bigger Batman fan turns 50 on Monday.
So i made him a Utility Belt.
My second one I have made, and I think it far surpasses my first ( pilot) one.
I hope he likes it.
I made a few extra pouches to switch out my look on my belt- currently working on a batarang pouch.
the round tabs need thinner flaps but over all i am happy with the finished product.
Credit to Chuck- the buckle is his work and is the crown on the belt.

Oooooooh ya! Looks fantastic! I may do the same thing as I ponder making a new belt myself. (I gave mine to Ddreddfan) I am sure your buddy will love your old one. I really like the idea of switching out looks of the pouches.

That looks great!!! I've been thinking of making one for myself. I need one to display my GhostDog buckle and to wear of course. :-P

That looks amazing. I like the fact that you made both types of closures. What type of paint did you use on the leather and rods?

Thank you guys!
I gave him the new belt, I will eventually make myself a new one.
I used Angelus yellow paint on the leather, acrylic paint spray paint on tubes and pouches.
Prime, paint, and clear coat.

Looks great batrunner! A lovely gesture as well, i'm sure most Bat-Fan's would flip to receive such a great gift, especially a bespoke one at that!

Thanks for the paint directions. I've been working on one with vinyl, but I think I need to upgrade to the leather.
