My life-size Cesar Romero Joker display
Well, this has been in the works for a long time, but I have finally finished! The latest addition to my life-size Batman character displays is Joker!! Complete with moustache, trick boutonniere and joy buzzer!!!
I originally thought I would just be painting the mannequin's face with the same clown make-up look that Cesar wore in the show, and hoping that it would at least represent him well enough. But I decided to try my hand at sculpting over top of the mannequin's face to be able to give him a proper expression and to capture Cesar's likeness as best I could. Far from perfect, but I am happy with the result (please be kind, this was my 1st attempt). It is giving me the confidence to proceed next with my final life-size figure, Penguin.
I'll try to post more pictures of the group of figures together. 6 down and 1 to go!

Trying to sculpt a likeness is very difficult. You did an admirable job for your first attempt. Looks good.

I remember having to draw faces in art classes and how difficult it was. I imagine trying to sculpt one would be ten times more difficult. Well done!

This looks fantastic. Where did you get the outfit?

Thank you very much!pulpadded wrote:This looks fantastic. Where did you get the outfit?
I made the costume (or at least put it altogether. I did very little sewing.)
I purchased a tuxedo, gloves, shirt, and found a vintage vest in the correct style. I then custom-dyed everything (including green socks!), added stripes to the slacks, added correct black buttons, etc.
I dyed the wig and it came out darker than I hoped, so I am going to try that again. I'll probably shorten-up his tie. But otherwise, I think he is complete. I am glad you liked him! Thanks!

Thumbs up from me. Did you make the Joy Buzzer or is that a found item?
