Recipe for a Radar Egg
Here's a simple prop I made for the documentary- Egghead's "Radar Egg". The wooden egg I used for a base I got at Michaels, I sculpted the ring around it with Magic Sculpt, then drilled a hole in the top for the antenna. I used a piece of metal rod for the antenna and sculpted the little bob on the end with Magic Sculpt, then coated it with Plasti-dip to give it a rubberized coating. I coated the egg with gesso and added some of the eggshell texture with it as well using a small paintbrush. I used purple acrylic paint with a little purple Pearl ex powder mixed in to give it a slight pearlized effect. The top coat is satin Valspar clear coat. Think I might hit with a matte coat though... it's a little shinier than I wanted and compared to the original prop.
Anyway, pretty easy to make if you want one of your own!

And why doesn't Batman dance anymore? Remember the Batusi?

Re: Recipe for a Radar Egg
Looks cool! Pretty sure you might be the first fan to re-create that specific prop too!
Re: Recipe for a Radar Egg
Never seen anyone do this before, like Ben said, but I love it... Egghead was my favorite villain

Thanks for sharing the pic of your project and the steps you took creating it. It looks great. I may have to give it a try.
