Image projection is the thing. The logistics of how a searchlight works differs from the concept of this type of lamp. I'm no expert, but there are elements that would be needed to allow for a clear & discernible projection of the image, most notably, higher light intensity behind the bat gobo and, I imagine, some sort of parabolic mirror behind the bulb. Any further/potential mods will be noted as my research/results continue.

That said, I find this to be a really cool display piece that delighted the kids (& parents) in my neighborhood on Halloween and it now resides along side my Shakespeare bust & Batphone, looking right a home!
