So I built a portable Batman Climbing Wall!!
I always loved the way Batman and Robin would climb a wall and would talk to people poking their head out of the window, so I decided to recreate it!
I wanted to make it portable, so I could take it to local Comic-Cons. My friend and I came up with a good design, where we built two 4’ long by 3’ wide by 1.5’ tall platforms that would nest together. We put wheels on the bottom so it would form a box to carry the other parts needed. These include a 10’ x 8’ banner of city buildings turned sideways, and a stand to hold it. It all fits in the back of a Ford Focus!
Here is a picture of Batman on the platform with a citizen in the window:
and here's the same picture rotated and cropped, so it looks like Batman is climbing the wall and the citizen is looking out the window, just like in the TV show!
Here is how it's nested to form a box:
Just spent the weekend at FanFest in Portland with it, people really seemed to like it!! Here is a link to my Facebook group that shows how we built it, and has some pics from the con. There are some adjustments we're going to make to it, such as making the "window" larger, making it easier to get into the "window", and making Batman's cape hang better horizontally, but overall I'm pretty happy with how it all turned out!!

Now that is AWESOME... never seen anyone make this before...
How ingenious that you can fit it in the back of your car...

Wow! The ultimate Bat-accessory for con goers!
Will it fit in the utility belt like the Bat-Shield?
