Best Bat Mannequins
I was looking to finalize my Batgirl display, and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a good Batgirl/Yvonne Craig style mannequin. While we're at it, anyone have recommendations for other characters?
Re: Best Bat Mannequins
Hi. I did some searching for mannequins that are the appropriate size, and came across a sculptor (Marc Spess) that created likenesses of Yvonne Craig, Burt Ward, Lee Meriwether, Julie Newmar, Cesar Romero, Frank Gorshin, and others. The painting was done by another artist (David Costa of Dash N Dazzle) but it appears this may be what they used for the Batgirl display at the Hollywood Museum. They both worked with Greg Maraio who did the costume reproductions.
No idea what something like this would cost, but maybe you can find out.
I also found a video on YouTube of Marc Spess sculpting Cesar Romero: https://youtu.be/69CC-MkZ4Gk

Re: Best Bat Mannequins
It looks more like him if you add the mask. Not perfect, but better than a generic mannequin.
Re: Best Bat Mannequins
Found a photo of the completed Cesar Romero mannequin. Pretty cool.
