Joker's Skeleton Key Prop

Post by rsaffle »

Here is my 3d designed & printed version of Joker's skeleton key from the episodes “The Impractical Joker” / “The Joker’s Provokers”
Season 2, Episodes 21 and 22

The Dynamic Duo arrive, a new prank is discovered: they’re changing all the locks in GCPD HQ, and in amidst the shipment of new keys is one in the shape of a human skeleton: an actual skeleton key. And it comes with a note: “Latched or mastered, skeletoned or passed, spot the Scot before you’re outclassed.” As it turns out, Angus Ferguson is in Gotham with an exhibit of his collection of keys, and it’s pretty obvious that that’s the Joker’s target, particularly the priceless Key of Kaincardine, which has been handed down from generation to generation in Ferguson’s family.

Still thinking I would get a better print on my resin printer if I could work out the bugs. Not yet! lol

Added Jokers tag to my Skeleton Key prop to finish it off. I replicated the exact writing from screen captures.

If you have any model building or model painting skills or want to learn them then i highly recommend it. Tons of free files all over the internet. The printing part is fairly easy...just takes time, but the model prep and finish is what takes the effort. Im not a perfectionist but you could spend a lot of time making stuff. I really enjoy it.

I have a Creality Ender 5 pro printer $300. There are cheaper and of course bigger but im happy so far. The actual prints don't cost much in materials just a couple dollars. I am a graphic designer and picked up the 3d software pretty fast but there are free and easy programs online that teach but you don't need to create the files to have plenty to do. I will help anyway I can.
