Looking for Bat Signal Info

Post by rsaffle »

I'm wondering if anybody has photos or possibly a blueprint (hope) of the Bat Signal?
I want to 3D design one and I'm not sure if they have ever shown it all. I've seen some other peoples version but not sure what they designed from. Maybe it was based on a real signal?

I have this list of episodes it's used in for reference. Not sure if in sky only or the actual unit?

-Hi Diddle Riddle" (after robin abducted, batman in Batmobile doped)
-"Zelda the Great" (while at Wayne Manor on the balcony looking at the sky, stargazing w/ a telescope, Bat-phone was called with no answer)
-Batman The Movie
-"The Bookworm Turns" (while driving in the Batmobile, the Commish has the Batsignal flashed)
-"The Sandman Cometh" (Commish calls and Bruce and Dick are on a camping trip 20 miles from Gotham)
-"Ring Around the Riddler" (opening credits, Batgirl calls Commish, Commish calls the Batphone, Alfred shakes his head no, then the Batsignal is flashed)

I've seen that before. He did a great job. Im just not sure if the base is accurate or even if they ever really showed it entirely. Im out of town and haven't been able to check out Pennyworths info. I found a guy making large lifesize ones and the base on his is different also. Thanks Jim.

Thats great Floyd! Very helpful. Can I ask how accurate is it? Did you find images that showed you the back and sides?

Somewhere I read it’s a GE unit from about 1943. I can’t recall if it is from here or another batsite.
