Started a Batgirl suit for my daughter

Post by Larry »

Hello all, new to the board but have been gathering info on making a batgirl suit for my disabled daughter. Picked up this belt from ebay for her suit. Its not going to be an exact match to Yvonne's but I'm sure she will love it. Any help will be great. Thanks.

Welcome to the board. I have no experience making costumes, but others here have made their own. I am sure someone will be able to help.

As far as I know, the Catwoman and Batgirl catsuits are actually very similar if you ignore the color and accesories. You should be able to find some threads on Batgirl and Catwoman costumes on this forum if you do some searches.

Thanks for the welcome Dell. I've got 2 pouches put together and 2 that are cut and need assembled. Will paint them when it stops raining. Working on the cape right now. Will post progress pics later.

I almost have the cape done, just need to add snaps and a few other tweaks. I tried to upload some pics but it says file is too big. :(

Does anyone have a template for the cowl they can share or point me in the direction of someone who does?

Thank you Dell. Working on a template for the cowl now. Just going to wing it and see how it looks. Using photos for reference.

Looks batastic!

Can you show the front and back of the buckle up close?
