I'm working on a GH radio project and would like to use as much of the original music as possible. I have the original "Flight of the Bumblebee" but I'm seeking the incidental and transitional music. George Trendle was famous for using music that was in the public domain so I'm assuming all the music used in the original show would be public domain classical recordings from the 30's.
I'm not a connoisseur of classical music but thought maybe some of you might be. I'm going to try using some of the software that identifies music and hope it can suss out some of the pieces.
Any ideas from the group? Thanks...

I do know that Trendle went to Mexico to have a lot of music recorded to get around copyright issues for the Lone Ranger. Could be the same issue for this...?
Re: Radio Music Help
I think the copyright laws for music are 90 years or so. Scott or one of the many musicians here can comment on that. If you look through the threads, there is a company that specializes in incidental music CD from TV shows. They have a catchy. Name that escapes me at this early hour.

Thanks Lou Szabo! I'm looking, specifically, for the original radio transition music which was always a classical piece like Tchaikovsky. And yes, public domain is about 90 years depending on whether the owner has kept up on the licensing. Appreciate the info!
