Rovanic Studios expands Batman portfolio

I don't collect anymore but if I did I'd pass on all of these. The Ovan ones are close but the cape interior colors don't cut it for me. The rest, except for one, are all Frank Miller's ridiculous fantasies. I swear that skinny little guy must have gotten beaten up in school and always wished he had a big brute as a friend to defend him. That, or he dreamt that was what he wanted to be. Either way, his insane reworking of turning Batman into DC's version of the Incredible Hulk and then Iron Man never, ever cut it for me. The exception figure is Lee Bermejo's Batman which still falls under the ridiculous 'too-armored up to barely move' syndrome. As far as I see it Batman, as a concept, has completely gone off the rails. Then again, so has the whole superhero comicdom concept.

Just got back from Vacation to find my Dark Knight returns figure arrived. Ordered in late March/early April.
He’s in Indonesia. The shipping should have taken 5-7 days, but there was an error in the address so after going thru a circular phone, web, phone , web hell with DHL, I got it sorted out. Luckily he included pictures of the customs form and address label, so I saw the error. Minor point, but it could have been lost.

There is no outer mailer box like a Hot Toys, but cardboard paper/bubble wrap.

Loosely, it is a 9 x 14 box

It has a nice cutout on the sides but the top and bottom fit like a . Luckily I got it apart.

In the upper left, I have an aged Wayne head. Need to take a new photo which I’ll add here. Three weeks straight business travel leaves you backed up, and I have another week to go.
7 months and 10 days to retirement!

I’ll try to take it out. I’m trying to make a 1968 Batman animated display for Halloween, and these colors are close. Finally got a box for the Ideal cowl, now I need the face insert. Chuck made the face insert for his comic book cowl, I just need to white out the eyes.

One thing you can do for a 1966 Batman Halloween Display: take the clear plastic sheet from a cheap poster frame and then adhere your choice of foamboard “fighting words” to it. I did that for a Batman themed Halloween a few years ago. We would hold the plexiglass surreptitiously in front of us (the edges weren’t too noticeable) and pose for photos as if Batman had hit the Joker, etc. It was a fun effect.

You can even suspend the sheet from the ceiling using fishing line, then just stand behind it and pose.
