Making the holes in the suit, patching them on the inside plus adding the stitching took maybe 30 hours. Probably another ten for the claws (although I made two earlier sets I wasn't happy with as well).

Prop taser work-in-progress. The curves still need some work and detail will need adding to the grip before it gets the paint job. Not many costumes seem to bother with the taser at all although it's clipped to Michelle's left boot in several scenes.

With apologies for the necromancy (and the change of user name) here's an update. The cowl is from Reevzfx. The boots I won't even name-check as they took fifteen months to arrive and even then only after I sued the boot-maker. But for better or worse I believe we're not allowed to name names here so I'm keeping stumm.

Great job on that taser

That is looking really really good so far. I think you nailed the look. All that stitching looks fantastic. I am sure Chuck Williams will attest to the fact that it is not easy to sew material like that. Taser looks really good too! Almost makes me want to drag out my Keaton suit..lol

Well Done so far!

You need to use an industrial glue called Scotch-Weld PR20. Great stuff, it sticks rubber to rubber like the proverbial :)

The suit's internally patched cuts with their glued on 'stitching' up close:

Excellent work!!!!

I remember going to the "BatShop" during the filming of this and seeing my friend painting a desk top full of these "stitched" pieces!

I'm sure you know but for those that don't, this is how the exposed flesh of the movie suit was done too. You can't cut latex without it tearing so the holes that looked like flesh were flesh colored latex peaking out.

I'm sorry you had trouble with the boot maker but the result is very nice.
The whole costume is looking GREAT!

WELL DONE!!!

From you, Chuck, that's praise indeed! Re the boots: Ignoring Michelle's stunt double's flats there are at least two pairs of '92 Catwoman boots...I chose the higher ones. Heck, I'm a glamour puss ( and I need the height ;) )
