Leonard Nimoy RIP

Post by AndyFish »

AP reporting that Leonard Nimoy passed away, very sad to hear this. A true gentleman, a Bostonian, and there will NEVER be ANOTHER Spock.

Its reported he had chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder from years of smoking.

Like Adam West is Batman, Leonard Nimoy will always be Spock to me.

I think I'll watch The Wrath of Khan tonight in tribute to our favorite Vulcan.

I always thought that he did more with his lack of emotions for his character than William Shatner ever did for his overacting in that 1960's TV series (Star Trek- TOS.)

He will be missed.

With each continual passing of these legends and giants the best decade of television ever is continuing to vanish before our very eyes. Thank you, Mr. Nimoy, for all your excellent work from The Outer Limits to Star Trek to In Search Of - just to name a few.

I'm just sorry the much younger generations will never quite comprehend the impact and inspiration all these fine actors and shows had on society as a whole back then.

What an amazing performer. Think of the legacy he has left... the countless men and women he helped inspire to become scientists or astronauts. This one really hurts saying goodbye.

Very sad...I shall raise a glass to Leonard and 'the undiscover'd country' this evening.
RIP.

Yes very sorry to hear of his passing this today.
Considering the health problems he endured, his continuing contribution to the various Star Trek franchises is even more remarkable.

I was so sad to hear this today. He was such a great actor and so much fun to see at conventions. R.I.P.

Another great from our childhood leaves us. Loved his work, not just just Star Trek.
He will always be the one & only Spock to me though.
