A truly "WONDER"ful time in Palm Springs...

Post by wally wingert » Mon May 25, 2015 8:28 pm

Lynda Carter did a meet and greet in Palm Springs last Friday night to promote a new Wonder Woman slot machine at a Casino there. My pals Mark Fullerton and his girlfriend Connie joined me in line to wait for the event. And though she didn't have time to sign anything, we were all given a pre-signed photo of Lynda as WW. In the event that she was willing to sign, I brought along my original vintage LC poster that I had in my room when I was 17 just in case. She looked it and said, "I remember that belly button." I told her that Stanley Ralph Ross had been a good pal of mine.

What a classy lady! We all got photos with her on Friday, and then went to see her perform live at another casino Saturday night. While she mostly kept her distance from her "WONDERful" past, she did make a few passing mentions of it in the concert.

But what she did at the end of the concert blew us all away. As you'll see in this video...

Thanks Mark, Connie, Lynn and Mike the photographer!

Very cool Wally! She did her "WW spin!!" Too cool!

Oh, since we're telling our LC stories, here's mine. In 1977 my family moved to Phoenix, AZ. We needed furniture when we purchased our home and went to a store called, Carter Jones Funiture. Never thought anything of the name. When my parents were paying for all the stuff, I noticed a full color 8X10 of Lynda as Wonder Woman on the "salesman's" desk. I asked him if he was a huge fan of WW. And his reply blew me away. He said, :I better be. She's my daughter." Turns out he was the Carter in Carter Jones Furniture!

Thanks! But unfortunately my marriage proposal was rebuffed. Some lame excuse about her already being married for 30 years, or some such nonsense.
