Post by Ben Bentley »

I know like myself there are a lot of Batman the Animated Series fans here amongst who will be as stoked as I was to read the news from NYCC this weekend that BTAS is getting a Blu Ray release next year.

I'm a huge fan of BTAS, too. I still consider it the finest Comics to film adaptation, ever. Don't get me wrong. I still love 66 Batman because it was my introduction to the character.

Sometimes they go overboard with grain removal , like they did with Deer Hunter which is supposed to have grain.

So now the DVD set goes for about $50 sealed. What's the difference between the current release and the latest?

The new release is for the Blu-ray of the Animated Series. As far as I know, it is only currently available in the standard DVD format, and as 4 individual volumes. The series came out in a complete box set version years ago but is now out of print.

Shouldn't this thread be moved to the Merchandise section?
