Harry Carey, Jr dies

Post by 60s TV Fan » Sat Dec 29, 2012 9:58 am

RIP to Mr. Harry Carey, Jr who died on 12/27 at the ripe old age of 91. Mr. Carey was the last of the old John Ford Stock Company, and a fine Western actor. Some of my favorites were She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, Rio Grande, and Big Jake with John Wayne, as well as Tombstone, in which he played Marshal Fred White. We've lost a lot of great talent in 2012.

So true about the loss of great talent, but I also know so many of the performers were older than 85. Mr. Carey was no exception to that. But it also stands to reason that he, like the others, will be missed.
