RIP Norm Breyfogle
In my opinion, with writer Alan Grant, Breyfogle was half of the last great Batman team.

He was a great guy, hung with him a bit in the '90s. Sad to see him gone, but sadder still to have it happen at such a young age.

Re: RIP Norm Breyfogle
Rest in peace, Norm!
I loved your art. Just fantastic renditions of Batman. I must say, the Alan Grant/Norm Breyfogle team on Detective was one of my favorite runs, new weird villains, a relentless Batman who may get beaten down but comes back even stronger all throughout a horror atmosphere.
I didn't quite enjoy their work as much on Batman and Shadow of the Bat though I did like some of it.
Also I enjoyed their Anarky miniseries and the short lived series itself.
Here's an interesting interview with both Norm and Alan:

Back to his art, just amazingly moody and expressive Batman drawings, very dynamic poses, a mix of detail and cartoony, some mesh of the two that worked perfectly. What an artist!

Re: RIP Norm Breyfogle
Shouldn't this be in the main bat topic since it's Batman related?
Re: RIP Norm Breyfogle
As much as he was an amazing artist, alas it is not 1966 Batman TV show related. So, no.robinboyblunderer wrote: ↑Fri Sep 28, 2018 10:13 pm Shouldn't this be in the main bat topic since it's Batman related?

I was just looking at some of his issues of Detective Comics and marveling at his sense of design. What a unique artist.
