Hi JB,

A word of warning....Pasko's letters are always pretty negative. I'm glad I didn't read them until after I had read his Superman work, because seeing how acidic his letters were might would have prevented me from enjoying his Superman stories. Pasko co-created Master Jailer.

OK, this is a Batman podcast. As for the redrawing, I already mentioned that I think this story had the most redrawing in the Neal Adams books.

Of the O'Neil/Adams stories, this one was my least favorite. That's not to say it isn't entertaining, but not as good as their other stuff. While the Batman standing on the pier freaking out the bad guys seems cool, it is pretty dumb in retrospect. Batman should have attacked them while they were shocked.

Oh, I don't mind O'Neil bragging about Batman in the captions. As O'Neil's run goes on, Batman brags on himself and trash talks. That is the one think about O'Neil's Batman that I don't like. I don't want to be a "Pesty Pasko" and complain about everything, because O'Neil is one of my favorite Batman writers. There is just that one aspect of O'Neil's Batman that irks me.
