Not many of our 1960s icons left.
I guess that is her most famous image.

Back in the days when I used to write Bat fanfic I wrote a story in which I "cast" her as a jungle queen villainess (using imagery from OMYBC to illustrate it) and I enjoyed it so much I subsequently had her character "reform" and wrote a couple dozen stories of her in a spinoff type fanfic series sometimes interacting with the 66 Bat Universe. The late High C, himself a fanfic vet, was a big encouragement there.

Raquel was the last true icon to emerge from the old Hollywood Studio System. We'll never see anyone with that kind of aura again.

She definitely was a great one. I can still think of a few that are still with us: Ann-Margret, Julie Newmar and Joan Collins come to mind.

Raquel Welch is one of the only ladies who was beautiful when she was young and passed away still a beautiful lady as a older woman. Rip
