"Substitute Batman" - which Batman comic had it?
I asked about this many years ago and nobody had an answer; let's try again.
Back in the late '60s or early '70s, I read a story in one of my brother's Batman comic books that depicted Robin and Alfred trying to choose a person to substitute for Batman temporarily. They settle on a suitably athletic fellow, and under the ruse of introducing him to Batman, bring him blindfolded to the Batcave. He takes off the blindfold and says "Where's Batman?" and Robin says, "You'll meet him - when you put this on!" and hands him the Bat-costume. Can't remember much more other than he has to substitute for the real Batman (who has been injured), and that the real Batman doesn't show up until the end of the story.
I checked this article by Brian Cronin about Batman comic book impersonators and it's none of the stories he cites:

So... which edition of the comic book had this story? Over to the experts... Thanks!

A friend posted this recently.
I think it is what you are looking for.
It was a free comic inside Pop Tarts back in the 60’s.

SPOILER ALERT: Re: "Substitute Batman" - which Batman comic had it?
SPOILER ALERT!
Read on ONLY IF you want to know the ending!
Thanks, Chuck.
If that’s the story, the “substitute” Batman is Bruce Wayne in disguise. He faked his death to trap a crook. Commissioner Gordon and Robin were the only people who knew - all per this summary on the last page. (Image from eBay.)

I think it’s the same story, just cut down for the Pop Tarts premium comic book.

The purplish gray of the Bat Suit in this story is a particular favorite color of mine for a Bat suit!

Wow! Thanks to all you great detectives for sharpening my fuzzy memory! It looks like the story may have been revised/updated for the Pop-Tarts premium (note the addition of Aunt Harriet), and I'm positive "Bill Randall" was blindfolded when he entered the Batcave (I remember thinking "Where's the Bat-gas?"). Now to hunt down a complete copy of the Kellogg's comic!

Turns out someone has already scanned and uploaded the whole Kellogg's version here:

Caught (ahem) napping on that one! Of course, after slogging through ten jillion for sale/auction/Worthpoint/Pinterest etc. listings (not to mention a WHOLE lot of Cherry Poptart comic books - ugh) I got a bit burnt out. Thanks again!
