wrinkled pouches?

Post by A. Pennyworth »

Found this shot and noticed the wrinkled empty looking Bat-Belt pouches, never saw the pouches like this before? Most of the time they look flat and filled with something square.

I think those might be the foam rubber pouches.

Great color in that shot!!

Yep, they used all sorts of things over time from what I can tell.

Adam said they used fabric over wood. The Hardeman belt is leather over wood. Some are just painted wood and some I think were fabric or leather over foam rubber. There are a few belts that look collapsed or rumpled like the foam rotted out and tubes that are curved or bent like rubber.

The "Gold curtain" belt has pouches on the front that don't reflect light the same way as the rest of the belt IIRC. John Brown sent me a shot of one outside that looked like straight painted foam the way the light reads off it. He was standing outside the car so maybe he had soft pouches for the car sequences????

Thanks for posting that photo!!! I haven't seen it that large so I'm loving it!!!
Best,
Chuck...

The color representation and detail in shots like these make me want to ditch 35mm DSLR and just shoot with medium format film for the rest of my life!

I love these gems you share with you us, John!

I love the foam rubber idea. These don't have to work and will cut some weight
