Fun in the shop...

Post by Chuck Williams »

Just in case you wondered what part of the cowl making process looks like...
This is part of a new mold jacket that the silicone rubber gets poured into.
Fun with polyester!!!

Oh Yeah!

I get to wear THIS costume every time I make a cowl shell.

Don't even get me started on grinding the shell castings!! ;)

Wow, that's the neatest shop I have ever seen! So organized! And the custom made dust control tube is AWESOME! I am stealing that idea somehow.

Do you sculpt here, too? I see no clay or scupting tools...

Thanks so much for sharing!

Chuck,

Please pardon me for taking the liberty of labeling some of the more important items in your photo of your shop, as an aid to those readers unfamiliar with some of the equipment required by a professional artist of your caliber.

You're welcome.

This is looking from the mold shop towards the sculpting area...
The file cabinets are FULL of model sheets from all sorts of animated films.
