I can't help feeling this is some sort of kismet: my NECA Batman, Funko Bobblehead Batmobile, and copy of Batman: The TV Stories all arrived today. :P

Great. Quite honestly, I didn't think it would happen THIS soon. Well, for anyone interested, both Scott and myself have landmark birthdays coming this year, and this would make one heck of a birthday gift! Just sayin'...

It'll be interesting to hear what actually happened with San Diego last year, I'm convinced it was slated to be announced there and something delayed it. Regardless, glad it's finally out.

Awesome news!! I cannot wait either, hopefully they make a box set all at once and don't split it into 3 different seasons.

I just glad for the sake of the actors. They finally get their due. I hope the box sets receive some great packaging!

75th Anniversary of Batman in 2014. Wonder if it is now tied in with that?

That's a great point. I have the two seasons of the 1966-67 cult classic 'The Invaders' on DVD and in the interview with star Roy Thinnes included among the extras, it's clear from his enthusiasm he appreciated the chance to take a 'victory lap,' if you will. Adam, Burt, Julie, Yvonne, etc. deserve that recognition, as did the Bat-actors no longer with us.

I love that Invaders series. I have both seasons too!

I am hoping for bluray. I expect to buy both sets, DVD and Bluray.

"SUCCESS! SUCCESS! They've done it! They've done it!"

To echo Scott's sentiments from the one of the other threads directing "DVD Traffic", this really is the best way possible for me too to celebrate ten years of being a part of this board and community!

Congrats to ALL here, who have honored this show for YEARS without ever being able to actually HAVE it. It's the closest thing to faith I've seen outside of a place of worship! It's a good day.

Today is my 58th birthday. This announcement is a great birthday present!

I have seen some DVD sets where they have to substitute music and things because they couldn't get clearances. I hope for example that they got clearances for all bat climb cameos. I would hate ir if they had to cut any out.

One ood thing. I have seen cases where things came out on VHS then DVD then Blu-Ray. At least because it took so long we have cut out some of the middlemen as it were.
