Finished Robin Vest!
Hello! Just thought I'd go ahead and share my project I've been working on for awhile since I've finally finished it!
I had a hard time deciding what fabric to use in the beginning, as it had to be something that I thought the grommets would actually stay in. Ended up finding some one way stretch red double knit which, while it ended up not holding the grommets like I needed, is really comfy and came with a matching hidden zipper (I ended up adding some lining to give the grommets a stiffer backing)!
Laces are just some yellow shoe laces I found, the grommets are shoelace grommets from my local hobby store, and the Robin logo is courtesy of Ebay.
This is my first major project so feed back is appreciated! Next up: a yellow (silk, satin?) cape and belt!

Very nicely done! Did you make your own pattern from scratch, or start with something stock, and alter it?
Perfect hair style for a Robin!
Off to a great start!

Great job on this!
We put a Robin suit together a few years ago (way before Chuck and Lynn took the hard work out of it) and I will totally agree, finding a suitable material for those eyelets is tough!

Re: Finished Robin Vest!
Thanks to all the supportive commentators!
Also, in reply to rickrickrick, I started off with an old 1960s high collared dress pattern that I modified just slightly for my own purposes!
Making more headway on my belt and shoes than I am my cape right now, as I was just lucky enough to find some materials to work with for those two things, but it will all come along in its own time.
