Wow, it looks as if they got Adam for the special features and that was it.

Didn't Burt mention he recently recorded some things for the DVDs? This wasn't mentioned in the features section.

Also, I'm as puzzled as everyone else as lack of extra features. Yes it is a wonderful thing that we officially get to have the set on Blu-Ray and remastered but they are really missing the boat.

Aren't there any blooper reels? Where are the BTS photos? We know the screen tests exist as does the Batgirl pilot (even if it is lower quality).

I hope this isn't the case of WB double dipping ala Paramount to get the most out of it's customers.

I see some on Amazon are still whining about the price, using the most questionable of excuses. As mentioned days ago, some suffer from entitlement issues. This is a product, not something promised to the chosen class of 1966 Batman fans. No amount of Amazon ranting will change the price--or convince those making pre-release orders to cancel the purchase.

I wouldn't say that I was anxious, but I never got around to buying those and now they are quite expensive and out-of-print. It's not a deal breaker, but I would have liked to see them included, and given the prices Warner is charging (especiall for the limited edition set) it seems like they could have been. At any rate, they would be much more attractive to me than the Hot Wheels car, which I already have several copies of, and the Topps cards. The Adam West scrapbook does sound nice.

I agree with you i don't really have a problem with the new features. But it wouldv'e been nice if the old content from previous releases could have been included as well.

And even some content that wasn't on previous releases, like the PSA for the Vietnam War Bonds which was only brought to our attention a few months ago.

I believe he is referring to Amazon's email about the confirmed release date. Updated Shipping Info is what the email is called, that's all. we're all still waiting until November.

I agree. It is wonderful to finally be getting this but the extras seem a little questionable. I believe the Batgirl pilot should have been a must. Didn't they do some public service announcements? I have seen some bootlegs with some very interesting extras that I think they could have used.

Amazon told me my expected delivery date is 11/14 - 11/17.

As for season sets, as I mentioned in an earlier post, I expect 4.

Season 2 will be two volumes. According to the disk list Season 3 is two sets of 30 episodes.

The Amazon Blu Ray price is back down under $200 so I've pre-ordered. I actually like watching DVDs on my computer rather than on my TV, but I went ahead and got the Blu Rays, even though it means I'll finally have to hook up the player I got a year ago!

The extras are what they are...sure, it would have been nice to have a new in-depth feature-quality documentary and such, but the episodes are where it's at. Like my "Man From Uncle" and "WIld Wild West" sets, it's about the shows.

What I do like are commentaries, which I would think would be much easier to include than new visual content. I love all the ones on my "Thriller" set...that's what makes a DVD/Blu Ray set feel "special," more so than documentaries.

Are there any on the "Batman" set or did I just miss it?

Does anybody know what the runtime on these episodes are? just curious.

Have the bootleg copies been taken totally off the market? I still see ads for the series.

I wonder how many(not so knowledgeable) will get burned with another(bootleg) copy set?

Regarding the extra "goodies" in the limited edition Blu-ray set, initially I was thinking "why bother with the Topps replicas - those have already come out" but then it occurred to me that was 25 years ago! And it looks like they will come in a packet similar to the ones that hold playing cards, so that's neat.

The Batmobile is a nice touch, although I'm guessing we all have that as well... And the episode guide & scrap book look cool as well.

I'm wondering if the Blu-ray will eventually turn up without these extras in a "non-limited edition." I can't see the Blu-ray being limited, just the special packaging.
