Anyone have any suggestions on a proper paint to use for creating a Contaminated Cowl?

Are you talking about which paint to use for customizing an action figure or are you talking about what to use on an actual cowl?

If you mean an actual cowl I am pretty positive it wasnt painted. It was just a cowl made with pink fabric instead of blue fabric. I believe Chuck has some contaminated cowls available he made from pink fabric.

If you mean on an action figure I used model masters acriyl red & white, then drop by drop mixed red into the white paint until i got the right color then painted on 3 or 4 coats very carefully.

You should go read Chuck's posts about the contaminated cowls he's made, if you are interested in making a wearable one.

They are not pink fabric. They are, indeed, painted fabric, as the original was. It was just a normal one that was painted over - in fact, you could see the thickness of the old painted eyebrows, etc, under the pink paint job!

Chuck's pink fabric cowls were just prototypes made of "expendable" pink lastex instead of the "good" blue, to get the patterns right.

Talking about an actual fabric cowl.

Read all Chuck's threads since the beginning, but he never mentions WHICH paint he uses. His most recent post on the subject mentions that he found the perfect paint, but not the brand name.

Oh, I know. Chuck has been great to me for years now, just didn't want to pester him and also wanted to see what (if anything) others here have used.
