Hot Wheels Elite 1/18th 66 Batmobile missing bat hub

Post by ARFF1Tampa »

I finally opened this and unfortunately the bat hub symbol on the right rear wheel is missing. I was thinking of taking one of the bat seat belts off, repainting, and using it on the wheel (they seem about the same size/symbol). Then rebuilding seat belts from scratch (regular looking belts not bat ones). With photo etched Tamiya 1/20 belts/buckles. Anyone have recommendations for seat belt fabric material? Or, if this sounds like my best option to fix the problem. Thanks.

If Pimp My Batmobile does not have what you are looking for, you can try casting one of the other wheel spinners. Casting kits are pretty inexpensive. For the seat belts, you can try using flat fabric ribbon. I have used 1/4" width on a 1/12 scale model, so I would suggest using 1/8" to 3/16" width. You can also use wine or champagne bottle foil covering. I like to use this on my NASCAR models, you can paint it flat black and when installed, it lays nice. I hope these help. Let us know how it works. Have fun!
