1:18 Scale GH Black Beauty from AutoArt announced last year

Post by Dynamic Duo »

Can anyone tell me if there has been any progress in the large scale model of the Black Beauty that was announced in the summer of '13? I get that quality diecast takes time, but has AutoArt ever sent out any production notices, release info., pictures, ANYTHING?

Anyone out there know anything substantive? C'mon Green Hornet fans....spill the beans.....

My guess is if you haven't seen anything here or at the other GH site, it's dead in the water.

So....any updates--or as you suggest, is it dead in the water? I ask since Comic-Con is on the way, and I wonder if there's any hints that the company will participate at all.

I am told "final sample has been sent to Sony for approval 2 weeks ago." Waiting on them.
This is in reference to the NEW 1/18 die-cast model of the Black Beauty.

Sony? So, does Sony own the GH film rights? Please fill me in.

Thanks

Film? Seth Rogan film? Yes Sony owns the rights.
To my knowledge all of the TV 1966 rights are still owned by Fox however there was some word years ago that they may share it now in some deal. TGHI is the ultimate owner. Once rights expire for Sony they will divert back to TGHI.

aHH..Thanks. And what of the Dozier children and Bruce Lee estate? Any controlling interest in our beloved series? Just thought that since the Batman home release problems were out of the bag, maybe, just maybe we could find out why TGH isn't coming out. I know, never satisified. When TGH is released I'll be on a quest to have the 1985 Godzilla to be released on American DVD!! LOL

Say, V?? I'd gladly pay you $3.75 to sit in the back of your car just as I did at the Antique Automobile Museum in Highland Park in 1977!! BTW, met JJ Born that day in July and was it my imagination or did he seem tired of being asked questions by a bunch of geeky Bat/GH fans? Oh my...yes, yes he did. Answered my own question. BTW2: Your car sat right down the row next to the Banacek car (pictured below)

Thats interesting.
Yes ultimately TGHI (AKA Trendel) and the Dozier children do think there is something due them. I assume that is one of the big stumbling blocks as to why we have not seen a release yet.
