Screen Test Cowl
Watching Lyle Wagoner's screen test. When he puts on one of the early versions of the cowl, you immediately notice the two distinct and different eyebrows. It looks as though they were testing out different looks for the brow. I wonder if these were painted on or perhaps a charcoal or chalk type of pencil was used. The ears are great, too. Thank goodness the cowl evolved the way it did by the time the pilot was filmed.

It doesn't appear to have the snaps on it yet.

Re: Screen Test Cowl
I wonder whatever happened to those screen test cowls (?)
Re: Screen Test Cowl
The design were there but I think whoever was cast the designers had to proportion the cowl to the cast's face. Waggoner's cowl was just an archetype.
Re: Screen Test Cowl
So who is going to try to fabricate one. It is sort of a modification of the 1940's serial cowls updated for the 1960's.
Some days you just can't get rid of a ... SHARK!
