My Pilot Belt
Greeting citizens!
I have finally completed my Utility belt!
I started with a Williams Studio 2 belt.
I then took ideas and clues from rickrickrick stunt belt build,i then used an inspired by/ slightly modded Chuck Williams patterns, I think it's a keeper. a couple of miss-fires but I wanted to show my progress- bat-warts and all-overall I love it.
I seldom see the pilot belt, and it is my favorite, so I went for that.
Belt is leather, painted using rickrickrick method. I made some pouches out of wood blocks ( yellow spray paint/ 1 coat clear) with leather flaps, but they read a little big to me.
That much leather is not in the budget right now, so for new pouches I used foam on foam-( 3-4 coats paint 3-4 coats clear) all snaps are painted thumb tacks.
I tried to dye the elastic, but it turned out orange instead of yellow- the slpots on back of elastic are where I tried to paint yellow.
Many thanks to Chuck and Rick for inspiration and clues along the way.
It was a fun build and plan on doing many more.
Suggestions and comments welcome? What do you think?

Re: My Pilot Belt
Oh I forgot the pics of the blocks I made
Re: My Pilot Belt
Looks FANTASTIC. I think any Batman would be proud to wear that belt. I Myself fabricated a belt using the foam cave design. This was done purposely so I could fill it with fun size candy bars at Halloween. I think it captured the feel of the tv show belt pretty good, considering. I plan on doing a stunt belt also when I have time with a nice brass buckle and probably the rounded snaps. I have the metal, I just have to sit down and start etching..lol
Beautiful job on yours.

Thanks for the compliments guys
yes, Batarang pouch will be on the next one.
I think that shouldn't be difficult in the foam.
I also plan on doing as many different pouches as I can reference- electo shock pouch, rope pouch, bat spray pouch ( was that ever on screen?), bat radio pouch, etc...

Re: My Pilot Belt
Looks great. I also like the look of the pilot belt. I know that it isn't practical in design, but I like the way the pouches look with the top flaps.
I'm working on building mine, but it keeps getting put on the back burner.
