Somebody had mentioned in a different thread that they had seen I was an upcoming guest on The Batcave Podcast. Well, the episode I had the pleasure of joining host (and board member) John S Drew for is out now and can be streamed online or via your smartphone.
Having enjoyed the podcast from the start, it was an absolute pleasure to join John to talk about one of my childhood favorite story-lines from season two.
I assume you are connected by phone or Skype, when he plays clips do you hear them?
I thought the Penguin Marsha trilogy could have been a solid two parter. It was stretched out because there were two villains and they needed a book end for the Joker three parter to get the series lined up again.
I look forward to hearing you on the Londinium three parter. I'm sure you will tell us everything the show got wrong about England.
I thought that three parter showed the how much better the series could have been serialized and having three or maybe four episodes budget for sets and actors. They didn't take advantage of the story possibilities.

Good job on the podcast.
Thanks for the kind words, ClavierAnnkh! We did indeed record the podcast via Skype, ain't technology great?! I totally agree with you, there is just enough strong material in the script to make a compelling conventional two-part story.
I'm really looking forward to being on the show again, discussing the Londinium Larcenies should be interesting to say the least!
Awesome job, Ben. I enjoyed your commentary and John S. Drew's take as well and agreed with most of what the two of you said. Was a lot of fun to listen to.
Will look forward to your Londinium commentary.

Thanks, High C! It's always fun to spend time talking about this TV show with others who share your passion. Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks, Ben and John. I just listened to it, and even mentioned it in another thread. I agree that the Penguin/Marsha eps aren't the greatest, but do have their moments. And thanks for the mention of how the one ride in the Batmobile used 3 different movie studios. I love that kind of behind-the-scenes knowledge.
Hey Ben, that was a very informative podcast, really enjoyed your insights on the three different studios that were used for the batmobile scene. Growing up, this was not a favorite episodes, but there was something about seeing Morticia with Pengy and hitting on Batman that made it memorable! I am looking forward to your take on the Londonium Larcenies!

Thanks for the kind words, i'm really glad you enjoyed it and learned something along the way!
Was excited to listen to today's new podcast but it's difficult to hear. The episode dialogue track is competing with the two podcasters AT THE SAME TIME and I can barely hear what John S. Drew and Jim Beard are saying. Sigh.
UPDATE: I'm told it's being fixed right now. Looking forward to it.
