That $100 actually makes a difference. I'm in. Still the most expensive diecast I'll own, but one I've been waiting decades for. Thanks for the update!

Some eBay sellers say they are shipping in a few weeks. What's the real anticipated ship date?

I hope AutoArt checks every facet of the manufacturing process of the Black Beauty because it is an expensive product.

I say that because 3 of the 5 AutoArt James Bond 007 Aston Martin DB5 (with weapons) that I have owned had suffered from "die-cast cancer". After time, paint bubbles appear, the metal starts showing stress cracks and then begin to disintegrate. Door and fender areas are especially susceptible. This is caused by cheap material used and impurities that get in the mix when making the die-cast metal.

I have many die-cast cars and it seems AutoArt is prone to it more than the other brands I own, whether they are expensive or inexpensive models.

Something about seeing those two models next to each other makes me feel like one of them is a little off scale-wise? Perspective is everything though, looking forward to seeing some more photos of the two next to each other.

the 1:18th Hotwheels Batmobile is said to be 1:19.5 in scale, and yes the Black Beauty looks overpowering when the two are side by side because of the under scaled Bat. Image

That's what I was waiting for. What's so hard about scaling it correctly?
That Black Beauty has to be massive!

I'm so glad to see this. Hey, the scales are not really matching, but for a real world comparison, what are the scales of the real BB and BM? Would that help accepting the die cast scales? Or is it too inaccurate?

Received mine today. The AutoArt Black Beauty is much heavier than the Hotwheels Batmobile and is also slightly larger giving the appearance that maybe the scale of either model is slightly off when compared side by side. In fact, the Black Beauty only just managed to sit inside the 1.18 scale model display case that I got for it whereas the same case for the Batmobile has much more leg room at the front and rear end.

Anyone know the dimensions of the real Black Beauty. I am curious about the 1:1 scale comparisons of the real cars. These 1/18 models look like a 300 sedan beside a Miata
